FAQs
This list is updated frequently based on questions posted in the discord server!
Q: What does the (+) mean in a card's effect?
-
It indicates that the card being referred to can be either its normal or upgraded version.
Q: Can you go above 5 Action Points?
-
Yes, you can. We only provide 5 tokens as it is the most that many decks will reasonably acquire in a turn but you can go above 5.
Q: I did not receive a tarot card with my Calligrapher promo. How do I use her?
-
You can use her as another traveler or just replace any electro character with her!
Q: If my card applies a matching element to Azdhaha's elemental infusion and discards at the start of turn to trigger its effect, will I receive the damage token from Azdhaha when I discard the card?
-
No you will not. Since it only triggers when you play an Action card, it will not trigger from action cards resolving additional effects after being left faceup or using Elemental Bursts.
Q: Does Layla's skill, Night of Formal Focus(+), apply the element and deal damage once for each token on the card when you choose to discard it?
-
Yes. For example, if you had 3 tokens on the card and discarded it, you would apply Cryo and deal damage 3 times.
Q: For Gorou's Inuzaka Defense, will both you and the other player gain 2 Guard and 2 Energy if you trigger the reaction in someone else's Zone?
-
Yes. However, resolving the card in your own Zone will not give you 4 Guard and 4 Energy.
Q: How does the Shadowy Husk Elite Enemy work?
-
When this enemy dies, you place 1 damage token (or tracker of your choice) next to the enemy card. If there are less than 3 of these tokens/trackers next to this enemy, it is resummoned in your Zone in the same location. It has full Health and all of its Shields and any Element that was on it before it died is removed.
Q: How does an effect like Xiangling's Burst Pyronado resolve with Action cards that apply an element to an enemy?
-
Xiangling's Burst, and others like it, will resolve before the card's text and apply its element first. If you have multiple effects that resolve at the same time, you choose the order they resolve in.
Q: How does Entangled interact with Childe - Eleventh of the Fatui Harbinger's Aftershock trait?
-
You gain Entangled cards to your discard equal to the number in your hand at the end of the Player Phase, then you discard and draw 5 cards. When you discard the Entangled cards at that moment, they are trashed and you take 1 damage for each discarded.
Q: Do the Tokens on Furina's Let The People Rejoice go away at the end of the turn?
-
No, they are only discarded when the burst is activated.
Q: How does the Pyro and Electro Kairagi effect work?
-
If this enemy is the only faceup enemy in your Zone at the beginning of the Enemy Phase, it will gain its additional effect before it attacks. It does not matter if the attack is blocked by Guard. If the enemy is prevented from attacking, its effect does not resolve.
Q: If an effect would apply Cryo/Hydro to an enemy in your Zone and it already has the same element applied, will it count as being applied for Trashing Burn cards?
-
No. Elements are not applied when a matching element is already present on an enemy.
Q: If an Action Card cares that an enemy has an Element applied and the Action Card defeats the enemy, will I still get the additional effect for having the element already applied?
-
Yes.
Q: During Solo play, what happens to effects that can target multiple players?
-
You can only target yourself for effects. You will not get multiple for selecting additional players.
Q: Where are additional enemies summoned when effects like Boss Leylines and Elite Enemies summon more?
-
They are summoned to the side of your central enemy Zone, obstructing no enemies but they are still in your Zone.
Q: Arataki Itto's "Akaushi Burst!" says that your next "Fight Club Legend" deals piercing damage instead of breaking shields. How does it work on an enemy with 1 Shield? No Shields?
-
It changes the functionality of your Fight Club Legend to always deal damage and makes the damage piercing instead of breaking shields.
Q: How do Overheats interact with a card that triggers a reaction that deals damage?
-
Overheats only increase the damage of the card itself, not the reaction.
Q: Are Bosses still in your Zone if it creates a summon after it has flipped?
-
Yes.
Q: How does the Violet Lightning Elite Enemy work?
-
It attacks all players, starting with the player who's Zone it's in. This does not mean that it is in every player's Zone.
